Find frequently asked questions about the Hanover Virginia Amateur Radio Club below...

How much do members pay for dues?

For the year of 2025, the HVARC Board of Directors have elected not to charge members for dues. The club operates entirely without cashflow at this time - any club projects that require materials will be pay-to-participate during this time.

When and where are club meetings?

HVARC meets monthly on every second Wednesday of the month at 6:30PM. We meet at the Atlee Branch Library in Hanover County, at 9212 Rutlandshire Dr, Mechanicsville, VA 23116.

Does the club have a callsign?

Yes! HVARC is the holder of the callsign K4HCV, HCV abbreviating "Hanover County Virginia". You can find us on QRZ.com here. The callsign may be used while under direct supervision of the club license's Trustee. The Trustee's information is located on our contact page.

Is the HVARC in charge of any local repeaters?

HVARC does not actively maintain any repeaters at this time. However, we do maintain a close relationship with the trustee of the "511" repeater located in Hanover County. Find more information about the N8ELS 145.1100MHz repeater here.
